Camp To Belong Finds Home in Georgia

With our recent expansion to Georgia, Camp To Belong requires a camp facility to conduct its annual program. We're excited to announce we've found a home for our camp program. Beginning summer of 2008, we will begin conducting our signature camp program at Camp Twin Lakes, in Rutledge, Georgia. Camp Twin Lakes is the only facility that works in partnership with groups serving children with serious illnesses and life challenges to provide a great camping experience and quite frankly, was first on our list when we began our camp site location in Georgia.

Camp Twin Lakes is the perfect partner for us because of their uniqueness in the services and facility they offer to their partners. We are looking forward to conducting our camp program at Camp Twin Lakes and growing our relationship with them for years to come.

Our first annual summer camp program in Georgia will take place June 1 – June 6, 2008, where we will host approximately 50 youth as they reunite with their siblings for a week-long summer camp experience. All youth will ttend camp at no cost to them or their foster families. All children will attend on sponsorships, and we will raise the funds through individual donations, corporate contributions and various fundraising activities.

Camp To Belong is really starting to take off here in Georgia and we can't be more excited. Camp program planning will now kick into high gear. If you are interested in volunteering, either as a camp counselor or as part of the planning committee, please email us.
